Embedded-image extraction returns image objects stored inside the PDF, which can differ from the final composited page.

What if the PDF has no embedded images?

Keep fallback enabled to render each page as a PNG instead.

Are duplicate image objects repeated?

The server deduplicates repeated image xrefs across pages.
